Sophia Loren Gold Colletion (Special 4 discs Bluray boxset)

This truly is the definitive Sophia Loren boxset, defining her life-time achievement featuring for the 1st time ever her four most awarded films -including her Best Actress OSCAR® which made her the first artist to win an Oscar for a foreign-language performance for TWO WOMEN.

This Blu-ray box provides for the 1st time ever all her films in English (as well as separate Italian audio with new English subtitles) – all the films are newly restored and remastered from 2K and 4K scans. It includes her most notable 1960s performances where she’s also joined by the Award-winning Marcello Mastroianni (DOLCE VITA, 8 1/2 etc). Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow (1963), won the OSCAR® for Best Foreign Film. Marriage, Italian Style (1964) earned Loren another OSCAR® nomination. The later A SPECIAL DAY also OSCAR® nominated, is a moving, must see film by Ettore Scola which Loren describes as her favourite film. Both Loren and co-star Mastroianni, who both played against their (impossibly) glamorous image, agreed this was the highlight of their acting careers!

With a career that has already spanned six decades and been honored with 50 awards, Sophia Loren remains one of the most beloved and recognisable figures in the international film world. The Academy awarded Loren another OSCAR® in 1991 for her body of work, and was declared by the OSCAR® Academy itself  “one of world cinema’s greatest treasures”.

She recently appeared for sold-out, a one-night only West-End show hosted by Jonathan Ross.

A Gold Collection with Four-award winning films on Blu-ray: TWO WOMEN, YESTERDAY TODAY & TOMORROW, MARRIAGE ITALIAN STYLE, A SPECIAL DAY.
